enduco Insolvency and Restart - a new Beginning

Dear Enduco Community,

We have important news for you. Recently, our external communication has been a bit quiet, and there was, of course, a reason for this. The past few months have presented an exciting challenge, one that we are now pleased to announce we have successfully overcome.

Our goal is to communicate openly and transparently about ourselves as a company, especially in the future. So here it is: we want to inform you that the company behind Enduco, Enduco GmbH, based in Saarbrücken, had to file for insolvency in spring 2024. Although we knew that Enduco would continue, it was an intense time during which we communicated little externally – we apologize for that. We are pleased to announce that we have now completed an extensive restructuring phase. This step was necessary to overcome financial constraints and technical hurdles. The most important thing is this: Enduco will continue! Not only is our product running continuously, but we are also working tirelessly to fundamentally revamp and improve it.

As part of these changes, the company behind Enduco has changed. We now operate under the name "Endurance Coach GmbH" based in Berlin. But don’t worry, we are still and will remain Enduco, your "endurance coach." The new company’s headquarters are now in Berlin, which was purely for organizational reasons. As a remote and location-independent team, we are still distributed across various cities, currently in Saarbrücken and Berlin.

We have completed a successful funding round for our relaunch and now have a lean but innovative shareholder group with expertise in digital product development.

We have restructured and future-proofed our team. Lennard, previously responsible for product, marketing, and finance, is now taking over as CEO. With his entrepreneurial experience, deep understanding of digital products – especially mobile apps – and his passion for endurance sports, he has the ambition to develop Enduco into the best training app in the endurance sports field. To operate sustainably, we have streamlined our team to focus on core positions. Through increased efficiency, we have been able to maintain our expertise and capabilities. We also aim to provide you with more insights into the people behind Enduco in the future.

Currently, we are working intensively on the further development of our product. Without revealing too much, we can assure you that we are working on fundamental improvements that will significantly enhance your user experience. We are taking the time necessary to create a truly outstanding product that meets your needs even better. We are already considering your extensive feedback shared on our Feature Request Board. Our goal is to incorporate as much of it as possible in the first phase. Above all, we now want to lay the foundation to respond to your requests more quickly and implement them in the future. We greatly value your feedback. Therefore, we have now integrated our Feature Request Board even deeper into our team structure; you may have already noticed that we are more active there.

We have redefined what we want to achieve with Enduco and are staying true to our core. Our entire team is active in sports, and it is our great passion to reach new goals through training and to push our athletic performance. Our mission is to support people in achieving their athletic goals. Whether it’s running the first 5 km or completing an Ironman, we support in a healthy and sustainable way by utilizing technology, making data-based decisions, and thereby providing the best training to accompany people to a more active and happier lifestyle through sports.

In the coming weeks and months, we will regularly inform you about our progress. We hope that with this first step, we can give you more clarity about how we plan to move forward with Enduco. Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far and continues to do so.
