Due to the hot days we have been experiencing, we thought an ice cream recipe is fitting! Except this is not just any ice cream, this is vegan ice cream that you can make at home! The best part is there is no need to feel guilty after eating it 😉
- 3 bananas
- 2 tbsp. raw cacao/ cocoa powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- ½ cup dairy-free milk of choice
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 tbsp. honey (optional for extra sweetness)
Tip: add almond butter or whole almonds for a nutty kick!
There are two ways to make this ice cream:
Option 1: If you have a powerful blender then follow these instructions:
Pre-freeze the bananas without the peels overnight. Once frozen, break the bananas into smaller chunks to make it easier to blend. Place all the other ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth and creamy!
Option 2: If you don’t have a powerful blender then follow these instructions:
This option does not require you to pre-freeze the bananas but to freeze the mixture after being blended. To prepare the mixture, peel the bananas and place all the ingredients into the blender. Once well blended, place the mixture into a plastic container or oven bread mould and leave in the freezer until hard
