Often used to increase sleep time per day, power naps can help to improve acute performance in athletes who sleep <7 hours per night. They can be used as a stress relief and to increase attention, alertness and concentration. The best way to power nap is to put away your phone, switch off disturbing noises and darken the room. A nap should be no longer than 15-30 minutes, so make sure to set an alarm or drink a coffee beforehand.
